Language selector page is the gate for multilingual website. It has links for each language index page. To manage language selector page, go to the Settings/Language. In the Language Selector tab you can manage this page. You can change the page name (shows in the URL), page title and meta description.
Showing Language Selector as index page
By checking Show, the first page of your website will be language selector page. Default language index page shows up if you don't mark the Show as checked.
By checking Landing, the index page goes to the language selector page. Index page shows language selector page content if you don't mark the Landing as checked. For example if you check Show and Landing, when a visitor visit http://example.com, it will forward to the http://example.com/language-selector/.
Use Cookie and Use Session is the default language selector method for saving the default language for the visitors. Make sure at least one of them is enabled, if you want to give the visitors ability to choose default language.
Default Language Selector
It means visitors can land on the desired language when they go to the website index.
If you select None, website visitors can not have the option to select a language as default language. By choosing Checkbox users can see set as default checkbox in the language selector page. If you select By Language Select, core set the visited language as default language for visitors.
Language Selector Picture
If theme supports picture for language selector, you can add the picture from Language Selector Picture.
